Here's a behind-the-scenes look at one of our current builds. We're adding a 3-season porch to this home, and right now we're at the concrete prep and pour stage - the step most people never see but one that determines how solid everything above it will be.
The framing is up, the posts are set, and the structure is taking shape. You can see how the lower level is being built out to house the porch space, while the existing upper deck with its black metal railing sits finished above. Two usable outdoor living spaces stacked on one home - that's a serious upgrade in livable square footage.
Getting the concrete right at this stage isn't optional. A slab that's properly prepped and poured will hold up through freeze-thaw cycles, stay level, and give the finished porch a base that lasts for decades. Skip that step or rush it, and you're setting yourself up for cracks and settling down the road. We don't cut corners here.
This is what a home addition looks like in the middle - not glamorous, but critical. Every post anchor, every grade adjustment, every decision made now shows up in how the finished space performs years from now. That's the kind of thinking we bring to every project we take on.
Adding a 3-season porch is one of the best ways to get more out of your home without a full addition. You get protected outdoor space that you can actually use for more of the year - and when it's built right from the ground up, it holds its value and its look for the long haul.
